Event Logistics

 

Date: Tuesday, April 10, 2018 (add to your calendar here)

Time: Please plan to arrive between 12:45-1:00 PM EDT to collect your access pass and make your way through security and to the event. The program will begin promptly at 1:30 PM EDT.

Arrival & Departure: Parking is not available at the United Nations. Car services can drop you off & pick you up at 44th Street & 1st Avenue outside the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza (One United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017). Taxis are usually available outside of the hotel.

 

Event Access Pass Pick-Up: Event organizers with branded clipboards will be waiting for you at the United Nations visitors’ entrance at 46th Street & 1st Avenue. Check in with them, and you will be issued your event access pass. All external attendees (i.e., those without a UN grounds pass) require an event access pass to enter UN Headquarters.

 

Government-Issued Photo ID Requirement: The name you provided in your online registration must match the name on your government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, valid driver’s license), which you will need to bring with you, present to UN security upon arrival, and keep on hand for the duration of the event. There are two security checkpoints in the UN that will require your event access pass and ID.

 

Building Entry: Upon arrival, you will pass through a security screening similar to what you would encounter at an airport (laptops out, etc.). Once through security, you will enter the main UN building and our event guides will lead you to the Delegates Dining Room on the 4th floor. (You will pass through another security checkpoint before heading to the 4th floor.) Remember to keep your access pass and photo ID on you at all times.

 

Personal Belongings: Make sure to travel light! Suitcases, luggage and large cameras are not permitted through UN security. There is a coat check on the event floor.

 

Media: We will be taking photos over the course of the event for future promotional materials.

 

Networking Cocktail Reception: A reception will immediately follow completion of the program at 6:00 PM EDT. We encourage you to stay for networking, food and drinks, and a live musical performance. The reception will conclude at 8:00 PM EDT.

 

FAQs

What if I haven’t registered yet?

Unfortunately, registration closed at 2 PM EDT on April 3 and we are no longer accepting applications to attend.

 

What if I didn’t receive a confirmation email after I registered?

Please check your spam or junk folder for an email that will confirm your registration status, in case your email provider marked it as such. If you still do not see a confirmation email, please reach out to Chris Moffo here to inquire as to your status.

 

My registered name doesn’t match my ID – what do I do?

Please reach out to Chris Moffo here with your legal name.

 

Can I bring a guest?

Only registrants approved to attend on or before April 3rd will be able to join us.

 

Is my pass transferrable?

No, due to the security approval process it is not possible to transfer your pass to someone else.

 

What is the dress?

Business attire, please.

 

What if I need to step out for a phone call or meeting?

If you need to step out, you can go back to the coat check / registration booth area on the 4th floor.

 

What if I can’t come for the 1:30 EDT start? / What if I need to leave early?

We hope that you’ll be able to attend all of the sessions, but if you need to come or leave at different times, we understand. Once you get your event access pass outside the U.N., you’ll be able to come and go as needed. Please be sure to hold onto that pass as well as your event name badge.

Will there be food & drinks served?

Yes, we’ll have snacks as part of the coffee & tea service that will be available throughout the event, as well as a variety of plates & stations during the reception. The reception will also offer an open bar.
